I am on the tall side, 5'9'', and usually wear size 14 pants, and those pants do fit me just right. I was concerned about waist being a bit high, but it is still comfortable to wear and did not feel like I am being strangled. I don't think they look as dorky as a lot of the pictures make them look out to be. They are straight legged, not too skinny and not too wide, and they have a little give in the waistband.
